you and me, we grant this portrait the marvelous

2020-24 / 07:30 / single-channel video / color / sound

On April 21, 2020, at 5:18 p.m., right after laundry, my room became the setting as I translated the actual state of my consciousness through a subtle hand dance, guided by pure emotion, the light, and Handel’s “Lascia ch’io pianga” (Let Me Weep). This improvisation—a dance of necessity and a translation of bodily movement into a distinct visual language—was rediscovered in 2024.

Conceived, performed, and edited by: NiNi Dongnier

Music: Handel, Lascia ch’io pianga (Let Me Weep)
